Free Halloween Printables Round Up 2011

Here’s a spooky printables round up for 2011.  Check out last year’s Halloween Printables too.

Halloween treat bags for young and young at heart.
Tricia Rennea is one of my go to girls for great printables.  She has a sassy set of printables called Mad Candy.  There is Halloween art work, goodie bags, thank you notes, and a few other things.  These designs are fun enough for kids parties and posh enough for do-it-yourself Halloween cheer at the office.  This year Tricia created a special printable Halloween paper doll for Tip Junkie.  It has THREE outfits.  Three posh Halloween outfits to play with.  If you haven’t been to Tip Junkie yet, then here’s a reason to go.  If paper dolls aren’t your thing head over there any way because there are a lot of wonderful free printables on her site.
Tip Junkie Exclusive.  You can only get it there!

MinieCo provides a printable template for creating this awesome Pac Man Ghost Garland.  I’m sure there’s lots of other ways you can find to use this template too.  The garland is an awesome quick craft that can be used to decorate just a section of bare wall or to string around an entire porch (spray with clear spray paint to extend the life of this printable and try to hang it somewhere it won’t get wet if your using it outside).  Don’t worry if you don’t have acetate or plastic, you can sandwich the eyes between two pieces of packing tape

Disney Family has their own line up of Disney themed Halloween printables.  The Mickey Mouse printable candy box is cute, but its the Jack Skeleton flashlight cover that really trips my trigger.

You can always count on Cannon to produce some great printables.  Of course they do!  They sell printers and printer ink!  They’ve added some new items to their line up.  My old favorite the printable Halloween tree is still there along with some masks plus a new moving printable Halloween toy!

From Babble we get a list of 25 epic free Halloween printables.  This is the place to score some awesome posters, cupcake toppers, and POTION BOTTLE LABELS!  The navigation on this site isn’t exactly intuitive because its set up as a slide show, so here’s a hint, click through the pictures till you find something you like then click on the name of the website where the printable can be found to get to the download.  It’s a couple extra clicks but the link round up is so wonderful I can’t complain!

Toadstool clippings, earthworms, Fur of Werewolf and more!

Call me creepy, but these bad boys are going on my picture wall all year long!

I don’t have a clue what this site says, but boy the Halloween printables are cute!!

Click on the red box and it will bring up a .pdf of the printable with visual instructions.
Here’s another one for Google Translate:  Kirin has a collection of Halloween printables that are wonderful. There’s a bat mask, a Halloween wreath (I’m making that one), and a witches hat!
Cute Halloween printables from Kirin!

Every year RavensBlight flips my wig with more great Halloween printables. Masks, decorations, table top games… these people go full out for spooky time.  If you’re adventurous you can even make a coin snatching vampire paper toy!  They also have free games, music, an art gallery and more.  Man, I love these people!

Coin snatching vampyres are the least of your fears at RavensBlight

Martha Stewart, diva of craft, has a bazillion Halloween craft ideas.  There are some printables, clip art, etc.  But, my favorite are these neato carve by color pumpkin carving templates.  I think I’m going to tackle a posh pumpkin upgrade this year!

Now that’s a posh pumpkin!

Free Printable Paper Crafts That Caught My Eye Today

The awesome folks Curiosity have printable calendars for every month.  And they are  neato .

Printable Photo booth Props?  Wicked idea from Oh Happy Day.
WhipUp.Net  and their Action packs are wicked.  I love the printable knot reference cards.
Triciea Rennea:  Shark Themed Printable Party Everything.  Is it just me or did Shark Week pass by too quickly this year, with not nearly enough Shark.
Also check out here back to school printables:

Printable Paper Craft:  Toast from RED DWARF!
Red Dwarf rocks my socks: PaperCraftParadise
Cubed Spiderman Papercraft.  Also a sockrocker.

Just Look At IT!

Two most awesome things today…

monkeys Tricia Rennea, who you know I am a devoted fan of, made some wicked cute upside down monkey door/closet type hanger things that are just fab.

Brace Yourself…  ‘cause this is wicked…

image Salazad has some of the most interesting paper toys I’ve ever seen.  They are graphically brilliant, beautifully design, fairly easy to construct, and they are FASCINATING.  There are Hindu and Bali gods, Sundanese characters, and all sorts of other interesting figures that I don’t fully understand.  I can wait to start researching and making some of these!  Words really aren’t going to do them justice.  You have to go look.  Just look at them!

Free Printable Games for Car Rides and Restaurants

Is it just me, or do children become nearly impossible to entertain once school sets them free for the summer?

A ride in the car or lunch out just doesn’t seem to be doing the trick by themselves.  So, I spent the day looking for things to make car trips and dinners out a bit more bearable.

So here’s a few I like…

printable games for the carFamily Fun has a great collection of games that you can print out and take with you.  There’s matching, memory games, puzzles, word finds, mazes and quizzes.  They come in lots of different themes, but for sometimes I think the people who select the images for the memory games are a little off kilter.  Like the back to school one has pictures of carrots and pasta.  I just don’t get it.  It’s a Disney production, so I guess I shouldn’t be too surprised.  I know I’ve posted this site before, but they update it quite a bit.  And they have a good newsletter.  Just sayin’.

road bingo printable Mom’s Minivan has a great version of the travel favorite, Road Bingo.  They also have tic-tac-to and battleship.  A game of battleship kills just enough time for your food to be served when you’re eating out.  It’s kind of a strange site, like one of those paid Mommy Blogger sites with freebies and other weirdness.  But, the printable are cute and they did make a good point about putting the print outs in Ziploc bags and using dry erase markers.

cargames1_art Here’s another great printable road board game set.  It involves you owning a dry erase board and magnetic strips or printable magnetic paper.  It’s cool looking.  I’d make it if I thought my son would play with it more than once.  But to be honest, I’m feeling a little too much like an underachiever to do make it.  Oh, and I just noticed that it too, is from Disney.  What’s with me and Disney printables today?

paper city 1 This printable paper city made by Joel (Joel, did I tell you how sexy-good this is?  It’s wonderful!) would be great for restaurants because it could be popped up and folded down quickly.  Poke around his blog because there’s also cars and a helicopter to go with this.  But, that’s not the coolest  thing on his blog….

These are….

Slotted Building Discs 3

Isn’t that just brilliant?  They are lovely paper circles that you (or your kids, if you have to give them up) can build with. What a beautiful, simple design!  Why or why am I so cursed that I can’t think of clever, wonderful things like this?  It’s another of Joel’s printable toys and games.  Check out his suggestion for packaging them.  They look so awesome that they’d make a great printable gift for an office mate or nearly-almost friend.

paperdolls I know I’ve mentioned Wee Wonderful paper dolls before, so I’m just going to bring up the fact that they’d be awesome restaurant or car trip diversions too.

Ok, so I hope that helps a few struggling caregivers out.  🙂

Printable Snowman Crafts and Activities

Today my son woke up to find a very light dusting of snow coating the tops of cars. The snow didn’t have much staying power as there was none left on the ground, but to here my son’s reaction you would have thought we were in the middle of a blizzard. He jumped up and down, begging to go outside to make a snowman. Of course, there wasn’t enough snow for that and I had to break the unfortunate news to him.
So I went on the search for snowman crafts and activities for him to do instead of making a real snowman. I found a few things that I liked and I want to share them with you.
printable snowman We played with this little Flash snowman from and after we were done rearranging the various snowman accessories we printed out our results.

printable snowman maze
We tried out this printable snowman maze from Print Activities and colored and cut this printable snowman from Danielle’s Place. I used this snowman coloring page as the cover of a snowman notebook. I punched a hole in the top and tied all the pages together. I put a different winter related word on each page for him to trace and rewrite. We made the printable snowman craft by Original Kids Crafts and hung it on the door.

printable snowman stationary That’s all we got to today. Tomorrow we might make these printable snowman puppets from Making Friends and do this printable winter hidden picture puzzle from Highlights for Kids. Then we’ll write a letter to grandma on this printable snowman stationery from PinkWool.

printable christmas village I found some other great projects for me to enjoy. Flickr user allatseawithabucketandspade has created some awesome printable paper houses. This one is pink with a snowman. She has a whole collection. I think they would make and interesting nontraditional Christmas Village. If you use them make sure to drop her a line and thank her for the templates.

printable snowman recipe card Organized Christmas had two really cute stocking stuffer ideas: Snowman Poop and Snowman Soup. Life in the Craft Lane with Mandy had a adorable snowman recipe card that I really liked. The download link is broken but clicking on picture will give you a usable image to print. PaperTree (from CrabTree Media) has a cute printable snowman paper toy ornament that I’m going to make later too.
Hope you enjoyed this printable snowman link list. 🙂

Show Some Love

I just took a tour around the FamilyFun site. WOW! I’m totally impressed with the high color, engaging, and well thought out printables they have. And great site organization too!!! I just printed out some finger puppets (I didn’t need anything but wanted test thier site out) and they where provided as a PDF. They have lots of themed based games and puzzles for little people and a wonderful selection of travel or road games. They also have some great simple paper toys that kids can do.

The rest of the site is nice too. I was a little suprised that its a Disney site since it’s not drizzled with Disney characters. Over all it’s a great site.
